Experience

Tanya has had the direct control and management of many ‘million dollar’ personal injury claims under the new legislative personal injury schemes. Tanya predominately acts for plaintiffs in personal injury matters and has instituted several claims against state government agencies and local authorities.

Prior to joining WGC Tanya worked as a research assistant at James Cook University Faculty of Law, Business and Creative Arts. Whilst completing her Bachelor of Laws degree, Tanya received several academic prizes in bankruptcy and insolvency law, family law and conveyancing and drafting.

Tanya is a board member for Youth Empowered Towards Independence (YETI) and is the current co-president for the NorthQueensland Law Association. Tanya regularly engages in continuing legal development including Personal Injury Law Masterclass Conferences, North Queensland Law Association Annual Law Conferences, annual Personal Injury Lawyers Alliance Conference and Queensland Law Society Professional Development Conferences.
