Experience

Roy’s long-term engagement by commercial clients reflects on his experience and reputation as an expert in this area.  He works closely with our lawyers in other practice areas and his input is regularly sought at the earliest stage of negotiations.

Roy is involved in the negotiation, preparation and administration of contracts for major commercial clients including joint ventures for developers and builders, partnership agreements and leases.  He regularly advises landlords and tenants in negotiation and preparation of long-term leases.  Roy is also involved in franchising matters such as the negotiation for clients involved with national organisations and dispute resolution in franchise agreements.

Prior to joining WGC, Roy gained 12 years litigation and dispute resolution experience in the Court system in Queensland when he qualified as a Court Registrar and Stipendiary Magistrate for the Department of Justice.
