Experience

Greg has a unique combination of litigation and commercial experience.

His experience extends from negotiation and mediation, through to trial representation. Prior to joining WGC in 1998, Greg retired from the law in 1994 to pursue private interests in the commercial and insurance fields. The commercial experience, developed during his time away from the law, provides added perspective in that sector and enhances his ability to anticipate and understand client needs.

A highlight of his career to date, Greg successfully acted for a group of local coffee growers whose crops had been damaged by incorrect chemical spraying by a government agency. After extensive research and a lengthy trial, he was able to prove that the duty of care owed to the growers was breached and the growers were awarded significant damages for the loss suffered.

Greg is active outside the office in the local sporting community and is the current Honorary Solicitor of Cairns Surf Lifesaving Club.
